User AgreementThe county by county Medicare beneficiary information contained in this site is based upon the county in which the beneficiary resides, rather than the county in which the beneficiary received the medical care. No provider specific information may be obtained through this site. Since the user may neither identify any particular provider nor where beneficiaries received their medical care, this information cannot be used or relied upon as a source for comparing or selecting health care providers. Use of this site for comparing or selecting providers, or for any purpose other than that intended by CMS and MRNC, is at the sole risk of the user. MRNC expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability arising out of the use of this site for anything other than the intended purpose. MRNC does not offer medical advice and no information on this site should be construed as medical advice. MRNC offers no opinions, interpretations, or conclusions based on the data included in this site, and any opinions, interpretations, or conclusions that the user may reach by reviewing the data contained in this site are solely those of the user. MRNC shall have no responsibility whatsoever for any type of claim, damage, or loss which a user may attempt to assert based on the use of this site. Additional Information The analyses upon which this site is based were performed under Contract Number 500-96-P613, entitled "Utilization and Quality Control Peer Review Organization for the State of North Carolina", sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services. The content of this site does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the Department of Health and Human Services, or does mention of trade names, commercial products, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government. This site is a direct result of the Health Care Quality Improvement Program initiated by CMS, which has encouraged identification of quality improvement projects derived from analysis of patterns of care, and therefore required no special funding on the part of MRNC. MRNC welcomes any ideas or recommendations that users may have. |
